God said ENOUGH! He went on to say; “I have seen My daughters suffer at the hands of their husbands. I have watched, I have heard your cries, I have heard your prayers and I have wept with you. I have seen your husbands belittle you and mock your faith. I have seen you fight for what you believe in when it seemed as if no one fought with you. I have seen and I have heard and I say ENOUGH! I have called husbands to love, cherish and submit to their wives as I have called wives to love, cherish and submit to their husbands. I have not called one above the other, I have called both equally. One is not in charge over the other. One is not to dictate to the other. Both are to serve and submit to one another. It is I that instituted marriage, it is mankind that has perverted it. Have I not told husbands not to treat their wives harshly? (Colossians 3:19). Yet I have found you in such a state. You have been found guilty. Wives, I have heard your husbands tell you not to speak of Me. I have heard them tell you that you cannot worship Me. I have seen them try to bring you around to their side with fear and manipulation. I have seen the fear in your eyes, the fear in your hearts. I’ve heard you cry, “oh but I don’t want to lose him. I love him.” I have seen you walk away empty handed with nothing to show for your years of service and sacrifice. I say listen to Me and listen now! I have not called you to walk in fear. You were created in My image; you are My daughter. I have called you. Yes, there will be some who suffer for My name sake but not all you go through is persecution. For you wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12). You cannot force your husbands to serve Me. You cannot love them enough to serve Me. It is I who draws them to Myself. It is up to them whether they heed My call. For I am calling many but they choose to ignore Me. I know when I speak like this, you turn to fear. You are afraid of what will happen, what will come of it. I tell you now, stand your ground! Do not be shaken by what man can do to you. I have called you to serve Me and Me only. When you waiver in your love for Me out of fear of your husband, you are placing them above Me. Hear Me this hour! I am calling you to stand your ground. Do not waiver, do not be shaken. Stand your ground. Watch and see what I will do in the midst of your faithfulness.”
Ladies and gentlemen, we are living out Deuteronomy 7:9-11 right now. We need to pray for those that are being persecuted and abused because of their faith in Christ. It happens more than you know. We need to be praying for those that are blind or that are choosing NOT to heed the voice of the Lord. For those that continue to hate Him, that continue to hate and harm those that love and serve God will fall into His hands. Read the verses I mentioned in Deuteronomy. When He showed me those verses this morning and said this is the time we’re living in, it shook me. It ought to shake all who call on the name of the Lord. I don’t want verse 10 to happen, do you??
Women, if this word resonated with you, I encourage you to get on your face before Your Father in Heaven and find out His heart for you. Find out what steps He wants you to take. Reach out for help, encouragement and prayer. You are not in this alone.
Men, if this word resonated with you, please turn to the Lord and let Him heal you. He loves you! I encourage you with the same words I spoke to the women. Get on your face before Your Father in Heaven and find out His heart for you. Find out what steps He wants you to take. Reach out for help, encouragement and prayer. You are not in this alone.
Men, if you are loving, cherishing and submitting to your wife as God has called you to do, then I encourage you to continue that path. Also, please lead other men to treat their wives that way. If you see or hear of a man treating his wife harshly, please don’t just stand there and do or say nothing. Intervene, speak to them. Be a witness to them. I know men get abused too but this word today is for the women of God. God said it’s time for them to be recognized for who He created them to be.
